Tow Truck Operators are deemed essential workers and will be continuing service 24/7 throughout the pandemic. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our company policies have been temporarily changed to help stop the spread. InTOWnational Towing Services are taking precautionary measures to ensure the health and well-being of all Service providers, Associates and Customers. According to the provincial measures and regulations, we are required to make the following changes:
- A self-screening of COVID-19 should be reviewed by the customer prior to calling for service. Informant to our staff if any question is answered “yes”. Our staff and Tow Truck Operators may conduct a COVID-19 screening at anytime. The questions are as followed:
- Have your been tested positive for COVID-19 or is exhibiting known symptoms?
- Have you been in close contact with a COVID-19 positive person or anyone exhibiting known symptoms?
- Have you or anyone in your household been out of the province in the last 14 days?
- Social distancing of 2 metres (6 feet) is to be maintained between the customer and our employees with the addition of mask to be wore by both parties.
- Tow Operators will no longer be permitted to transport any passengers in their tow trucks by any means.
- Customers are to arrangement their own means of transport at their expense
- If a customer can not arrange a means of transport, our staff can assist in arranging an Uber or taxi for them.
- Contactless service will be encouraged if and when possible.
- Tow Operators may ask you to move or perform task in your vehicle during service to avoid cross contact.
- Keys are to be left on drivers seat and will remain there until vehicle is delivered to destination where the receiving party will be notified of them.
- Tow Truck Operators will no longer be accepting cash. However, they will be equipped with POS payment systems.
- Will be able to accept any Canadian-issued and most non-Canadian issued credit cards with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB or Discover logo and Interac Debit cards.
